Dr. Katherine Gilfillan is a psychiatrist with a special interest in Mood Disorders, Addictions, Psychotic Disorders and Adult ADHD.
She completed her MBChB at the University of Cape Town in 2003. She went on to obtain her postgraduate specialist degree in psychiatry from the South African College of Medicine in 2011. The following year, she completed her Masters of Medicine in Psychiatry at the University of Cape Town.
After graduating, Dr. Gilfillan worked as a consultant psychiatrist at Valkenberg Hospital. During this time she worked in both the forensic and the acute admission services. She was also a lecturer in the Division of Psychiatry at the University of Cape Town.
Dr. Gilfillan joined the team at Kenilworth Clinic in September 2012. She is now a full-time psychiatrist in private practice.
